Panika! / Panic!

Panika, najbolj brani roman priljubljene slovenske pisateljice Dese Muck, je literarna osnova za privlačen komično- melodramski film o “paniki” ženske v zrelih letih, ki želi pobegniti vlogi “samo” matere, žene in gospodinje, razstre pa se nam skozi žanr romantične komedije. Vero, zatrto, zdolgočaseno in v vsakdanjo rutino ukalupljeno štiridesetletnico, tako rekoč obsede misel, da nikoli več ne bo zaljubljena, da njeno življenje nikoli več ne bo la vie en rose…V iskanju smisla v ljubezni ji vabljiva napoved iz kavne usedline, da bo srečala pravega moškega, spremeni življenje, saj zlahka podleže čarom in besedam družinskega prijatelja Mitje. Za Vero je ljubezen usodna. Ne samo, da jo končno spravi iz mirnega kuhinjskega okolja v vročo afero, v imenu ljubezni Vera prične inovativno lagati možu Rudiju in okolici, popusti na delu, zanemarja hči, in ko se Mitja otrese bremena njunega skupnega skoka čez plot, se ji sesuje svet, saj Vera tega ne zmore sprejeti, hkrati pa jo posledice njenih inpulzivnih odločitev počakajo. V “Paniki” spremljamo transformacijo ženske, ki je nihče ne opazi, v žensko, ki je opazila samo sebe in preko duhovitih katastrof, ki si sledijo ena za drugo v neprekinjenem ritmu, na koncu postavi temelje svojega novega življenja skozi ljubezen do sebe.

Bread and Circuses / Kruha in iger – film

Family Novak from a small town Velenje is drawn by lot to participate in a TV family quiz. The mother and the daughter are thrilled about appearing on TV, whereas the father and the son do not like the idea that much, especially because the show will take place during the carnival. On their way to the TV show the family gets into a misunderstanding with the police, at the TV station they get confused by a group of dressed up cocks, and things get truly interesting when the family gets to know the quiz moderator Jos Bauer better. Everything about the TV station seems quite different from up close and the family members’ values are turned upside down. Bread and Circuses is a comedy with a sent of nostalgia about socialistic Yugoslavia’s last breaths looking forward into brighter future days than they appear to be at the moment.

Družino Novak iz Velenja izžrebajo za nastop v družinskem kvizu. Mama in hči sta navdušeni, a sinu in očetu nastop ni po godu, zlasti, ker se oddaja dogaja za pusta. Na poti v Ljubljano se zapletejo v nesporazum s policijo, na televiziji jim štrene zameša družina pustnih petelinov, stvari pa postanejo resnično zanimive, ko se pobliže spoznajo z voditeljem oddaje Josom Bauerjem. Od blizu so stvari na televiziji namreč videti precej drugačne in družinskim članom se vrednote postavijo na glavo.
Komedija z nostalgičnim pridihom zadnjih zdihljajev socialistične Jugoslavije, zre v bolj s kruhom podmazano prihodnost, kot se čuti danes.

Write off / Totalka – Film

Ivan gets up on quiet Saturday morning. His girlfriend Jana is drinking coffee in the living room. Peaceful atmosphere gets tensed because of Ivan’s jealousy. His anger turns into dirty words, breakages, beating and blood. Jana throws Ivan out of the flat. Ivan is surprised. He sits in the car and drives home to the countryside. On the way trough the forest he crashes the car into the tree lying across the road. Car is totaled. Ivan realizes his mistake and starts crying. Out of the forest comes Janez, Ivan’s dad, who acts very strange. Ivan goes home with his dad, leaving car behind. At home Ivan finds out that dad killed his mother. After half a year Ivan returns to Jana apologizing. She forgives him.
Ivan se prebudi in vstane iz postelje. Njegovo dekle Jana sedi v dnevni sobi in pije kavo. Mirna jutranja atmosfera se zaostri, ko Ivan med pogovorom postane ljubosumen. Prepir hitro preraste v žaljivke, razbitine, udarce in kri. Jana presenečena a odločna vrže Ivana iz stanovanja. Ivan, ki še ne dojame kaj je naredil zmeden sede v avto in oddivja. Pelje se domov na deželo, kjer se srečanje z očetom izkaže kot najnižja točka v Ivanovem življenju.

Srečko is middle aged man, who solves his problems by masturbating.He is deeply ashamed of that act. When he almost kills himself, sudden insight helps him to transform his dissability into advantage, with which he can help the mankind.

Airsoft / Airsoft – TV documentary

Airsoft is a military game, and originaly comes from Japan. It works on a principle of real war strategies. Men wear military clothes and use replicant military guns, without real bullets.
Three characters share the passion for Airsoft, but at the same time none of them wants to serve the military or ever participate in any war.

Airsoft je vojaška igra za zabavo, ki izvira iz Japonske in ob kateri se sproščajo adrenalina in vojskovanja željni mladci (in v manjšem številu tudi mladenke). Pri nas takšen klub obstaja že 8-9 let. Deluje po principu pravih vojnih strategij; fantje se oblečejo v oblačila slovenske vojske, da so v gozdu manj vidni,  nadenejo si tudi pokrivala in obvezna očala, da plastični metki koga ne poškodujejo. Puške so narejene po prototipu pravega orožja, s to razliko, da je predpisano 80% plastičnega dela puške, obstaja tudi manjša razlika v dometu metka.
Trije liki, ki jih druži strast do airsofta in skorajda nič drugega, ne želijo služiti vojaškega roka.

Pickles / Krastavci – Short fiction film

Berta is an old lady, who lies to herself and the world. Not only she lies that her husband is still alive, but also lies about the way she earns her living. She uses all her energy for maintainance of the lie, so there is nothing left.

Gospa Berta je starejša gospa, ki laže. S tem, ko laže sebi, laže tudi svetu. Ne zgolj o eksistenci svojega moža, temveč tudi o njenem preživljanju, torej vlaganju kumaric. Laž kot taka zahteva vzdrževanje, ki je možno samo z novimi lažmi. Zato naredi vse, da bi svet prepričala, da njeno življenje dejansko je takšno kot so njene želje, da bi bilo. Njena namera in trud sta usmerjena v ohranjanje laži.

Hair Extensions / Lasje – Film

A teenage girl Mina desperately wants to have long her because she is convinced Nejc, a guy who she fancies, will fall in love with her. Mina’s father Janez eagerly wants to protect his little girl from any kinds of villains. Mina’s mother Majda daydreams about a passionate romance.

Hair Extensions is a black comedy showing what happens if protagonists live in a dream world rather than in reality. It is s film in which innocent situations turn into a psychological detective story.

Najstnica Mina si želi dolgih las, saj je prepričana, da jo bo njena simpatija Nejc potem ljubil. Oče Janez jo želi obvarovati nepridipravov, mama Majda pa sanjari o strastni romanci.
Lasje so črna komedija o tem, kaj se zgodi, če protagonisti živijo v sanjah namesto v realnosti. Film, kjer se nedolžne situacije sprevržejo v psihološko detektivko.

Table, that also tells lies / Miza, ki tudi laže – Film

There is a farm somewhere in Koroška region. This farm treasures something precious – a table that can lift itself up and answer questions. The table has been in the family for more than centuries, and nobody knows who manufactured. The table needs quite some energy to be set into motion; therefore Grandma Marija and granddaughter Simona place their hands on it. The table won’t answers any questions about death. It freely admits to occasionally telling lies. What is more, if asked whether it is all-knowing, it raises itself particularly high. Miroslav Mandić embarks on a journey because he wants to see this wonder with his own eyes.

Nekje na Koroškem stoji kmetija, ki poseduje prav posebno dragocenost – mizo, ki se dviguje in odgovarja na vprašanja. Miza je v lasti družine že okrog 300 let in nihče ne ve več, kdo jo je izdelal. Za zagon potrebuje kar nekaj energije, zato pri polaganju rok na pomoč priskočita babica Marija ali pa vnukinja Simona. Miza na vprašanja o smrti ne odgovarja. Prostodušno prizna, da včasih tudi laže, še prav posebej visoko pa se dvigne, če jo vprašaš, ali vse ve. Miroslav Mandić se odpravi na pot, saj si želi videti mizo na lastne oči.

Against the Window / Proti oknu – Film

Unconditional love is found in parents’ attitude towards their children irrespective of a child’s actions and decisions. Acceptance becomes more difficult in the face of religious gaps, not least in the countryside. Sometimes, however, external conflicts only mask an inability to display vulnerability, and intimacy. Anja and her mother are trying to overcome their conflicts through their pet animal; life, however, takes its own independent course.

Brezpogojno ljubezen najdemo v odnosu staršev do svojih otrok, ne glede na otrokova dejanja in odločitve. Sprejemanje postane nekoliko težje ob verskih razkorakih, še posebej na vasi. Včasih pa  zunanji konflikti zgolj služijo prikrivanju nezmožnosti ranljivosti in bližine. Anja in njena mama poskušata premostiti njune konflikte preko hišnega ljubljenčka, a dogodki se zasučejo zelo samosvoje.
